Texas A&M Veterinary Open House Art Show
Two of Amanda's Students placed. Sutton Thomas placed second overall for her dolphin painting. Also Rachel Hitte placed first in her grade for her cat and dog paiting. Mrs. Amanda is very proud of her students who participated. Can't wait for next year!
BVAL Juried Art Show
Amanda placed Honorable Mention in her Division's Category with her painting "Kids in Love" and First Place with "Caliente". To view the Juried Show the paintings will be available for viewing until April 14th at the College Station Arts Center off of Dartmouth in the Texas Gallery.
Cibolo Art in Conservation Information
Twenty-six Texas artists spent a year or more exploring 19 Hill Country properties to interpret their experiences in nature through art that will be on exhibit and for sale during "Art and Conservation: Hidden Treasures," on view April 8-10 at the Cibolo Nature Center as part of the Boerne Professional Artists' 15th Annual Parade of Artists.
"Art and Conservation: Hidden Treasures" is presented by the Cibolo Nature Center, the Hill Country Council for the Arts and Boerne Professional Artists to raise awareness about and promote conservation of Hill Country animals, plants, land and water through the unique perspectives of different artists. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the sale of the artwork will help support children's outdoor-education programs at the Cibolo Nature Center. The exhibit will be open to the public 10 a.m.-5 p.m. April 8, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. April 9 and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. April 10. Admission is free
Fall and Spring Children's Pastel Classes
I'll be starting to teach Children's pastel classes at A&M United Methodist Church in College Station. For more information contact the Art Center in College Station for information or click on the contact or art class tab. I offer 2 sessions each semester which are 8 week long. These classes are open to children in the first grade through high school.

Howdy! I have moved back to Brazos Valley. I have joined the Brazos Valley Art League (bvartleague.org) and getting involved in their organization!
Hill Country Art Council's: Art and Conservation: "Our Hidden Treasures" Spring Art Show 2011.
Amanda has just been juried into the art show for next spring. She will be allowed to go to the Bruns Ranch in Comfort, Texas to gather inspiration and paint on their property for conservation efforts! Next spring she will be displaying her two pieces, one of which is "Bed and Breakfast" and one from the onsite location. They will both be for sell and 20% goes to the Texas Hill Country Conservation Efforts!

LSU International Art Contest
Amanda entered into the LSU Internation Art Show and Exhibition at the School of Veterinary Medicine. This is a highly selective show, about 500 enter into the show and only 75 are chosen and one grand champion. She has entered three paintings and shall be hearing if she has been accepted after February 15th.

Come by and see Amanda's artwork at the Art Center in College Station. It will be displayed until June 30th. If you would like to meet Amanda there will be a reception June 10th, time TBA but it is safe to assume 7:00pm.

Amanda will be displaying two pieces of artwork at the Cibolo Nature Center in Borne, Texas April 8-10 from 10-5pm. Help support conservation efforts by purchasing one of the originals; 20% goes back to children's outdoor education program
April 1 is the BVAL judged artshow. It will be at the College Station Art Center off of Dartmouth in College Station starting April 1 and through the 14th.
